How to Start Using eBooks

To access the Dadeville Public Library’s eBooks, you will first need to be a member of the library.  Once you have a library card, you will need to go to or call the circulation desk for a PIN number.  Once you have a library card and a PIN number you will be able to access the Digital Library

How to Log In to CamelliaNet

Click Here to open a new page called CamelliaNet

Once on CamelliaNet, click Sign In on the top right-hand side (person shape symbol).

On the Sign In page, select your library, type in Dadeville Public Library to search or use the drop down menu to select.

Then type in your library card number and PIN number. Click Sign In.

Now you are logged in and can start borrowing books!

How to Borrow a Book

The easiest way to borrow a book is to download the FREE app called Overdrive if you have a Kindle.  If you have an Apple device download the FREE app Libby.

Once you download the app, Sign In using your library card. Type in Dadeville Public Library, click on Camellia Net Digital Catalog. Select your library on the drop down list, add your library card number and PIN number. Now you are all set to download books.

You can search books by format (audio or text), author, title, subject, genre, or collections.

Under each book cover picture, it lists the Title, Author, and type of download available (eBook, or Audiobook). Underneath it will also list whether the book is available to borrow now or needs to be placed on hold.

You can place a book  on hold by entering in your email address. Once the book is available for you, you will receive an email to let you know to download the book.

If the book is available, it will have a green Borrow link on or next to the cover of the book. Click Borrow. Click the My Account drop down menu, and your book will appear under the Loans list on the top right of the page. Click on the Format drop down menu to choose your type of download.

  • Kindle Book: is linked with Amazon; you must have an Amazon account. Once logged in with Amazon, click the link to borrow the library book and it will automatically download to your Kindle device or App.
    • To return library Kindle books from Amazon’s website:
      1. Go to your “Manage Your Content and Devices” page.
      2. Find the title in the “Your Content” list, then select .
      3. Select Return this book in the pop-up window.
      4. Select Yes to confirm and return the book.
  • EPUB eBook is good for iPad users and the Overdrive App.  Download the file and open in an appropriate program.
  • PDF eBook can be used with Adobe.
  • Read in Browser:  This is great for when you are stuck at the computer without your reader or phone.  The book opens in a webpage and you can read it from there.
